Firms ''can''t afford to ignore'' online marketing
The UK's small firms are failing to make full use of internet marketing strategies as a way to get their message across, one web expert has claimed.Managing director of web firm Creare Mike McKinley believes small businesses across the country are missing out on the benefits that online engagement can bring.
"In today's market, there is no better way to generate an effective return on investment than by using the internet, and some effective search engine optimisation," he said.
Mr McKinley spoke as his firm rolled out a series of online networking events in conjunction with the Forum of Private Business.
These programmes aim to teach businesses the value of correct web usage and are being held at venues across the country for the next three months.
Mr McKinley also noted that internet marketing helps companies engage with a "vast" audience of their target demographic through the proper use of search engine optimisation and web design.
