In theory YES you can, provided that we can agree terms of business with them. In our experience agencies prefer their Umbrella Company providers to be Professional Passport approved, Excellium has this approval so you should not experience any problems
Am I still charged a fee if I do not work?
Simple answer NO. You will only be charged a fee for any weeks that you get paid through Excellium. If you do not work, you will not be charged
Should I be concerned by IR35?
If you are using Excellium as your Umbrella Company then NO. IR35 is the legislation that eliminates the avoidance of Income Tax and National Insurance Contributions through the use of intermediaries, such as Umbrella Companies, in circumstances where an individual worker would otherwise be an employee or considered to be employed. As you will be employed by Excellium the IR35 legislation does not apply.
What expenses can I claim?
You can claim your travel costs and meal subsistence as well as other genuinely incurred expenses. Please refer to your expenses guide for further information. The expenses guide is available on our website under downloads
Do you have any references?
Yes. As a successful growing business Excellium works closely with lots of recruitment agencies and contract workers throughout the country and can provide references if required
How much of the Excellium service is online?
Every part of the Excellium service can be carried out from our state of the art portal Excellium Business System (EBS). All you will need to do is post us receipts to match your expense claims
When will I get paid?
Excellium will make payment to you as soon as we receive funds from your agency. We make all of our payments using the ‘faster payment’ option which means that you will receive your money the next day. If for any reason you need your money faster, arrangements can be made. Please contact your account manager for details
